Metalwërks in the News: The National Museum of the Army Project

The National Museum of the United States Army features Metalwërks’ Arcwall Spline in Stainless Steel at the building exterior. Sleek and distinctive, the 185,000 square-foot building is clad in this metal plate, where the cut edges of the faceplate material are the panels’ edges – a capability in metal you can only achieve with plate. When Arcwall Spline attachment hardware is concealed from view, architects achieve a fascinating floating panel effect, as seen above. 

The project was designed by a team at Skidmore, Owings & Merrill, and has received some recent press features:
